Why should your story be included in the anthology?

Hill Mead Primary School's Anthology of Stories

Which stories must we include in the anthology? Why are they an important choice? What messages do they give younger children? What do they teach younger children?

  1. Ugly Duckling should be in the anthology because it has more life lessons to teach.
This story teaches kids not to judge by appearance and to treat people how you want to be treated

    1. Can you think of other fairy tales which teach the same lesson, Brandon? Do you think this is the most important lesson for children to learn or are there other, even more important morals in other fairy tales?

  5. Rumpelstiltskin should be included in the anthology because it teaches children not to blackmail and tell a lie because your lie will catch up on you and I would be consiquensed

  6. I think the most necessary fairy tale would be Pinocchio because it teaches not to lie or there is consequences and if you got a job you would think of Pinocchio and not lie about your abilities but if Pinocchio wasn't real you would start lying straight away and would be fired because your boss wouldn't think he can trust you if you lie and know you know this book is for both children adults and even...you.

  9. That's a very good point, Sally. I agree that adults can learn from fairy tales too. Which other fairy tales could teach adults life lessons, as well as children?

  11. I think Pinocchio should be in the anthology because t can show different reasons of why you shouldn't lie and always be honest and tell the truth at all times even if you get in trouble also some younger children lie to get out of trouble and for someone else to get the blame.
